Nannette Coleman, age 81, passed away on March 26, 2024.  Nan was born and raised in Champagne-Urbana, Illinois where she attended college and met her first husband and father of her 10 children, Fred Bracken.  They moved to Green Bay, WI in 1963 and on to Kansas City, KS in 1969.  

In the 1980s Nan went back to college to earn her degree as an RN. In 1986, Nan married to Ronald Coleman.  Nannette followed her passions for nursing and motherhood and worked with State Women Infant Children (WIC) programs that supported mothers and infants in need and performed regular home health visits during her 25  year public health career. Nan is preceded by of her husband, Ron, and three of her children: David Bracken, Allen Bracken and Mary Beeding.

Nan is survived by her children: Janet Bracken, Steven Bracken, Patrick Bracken, Christopher Bracken, Timothy Bracken, Dennis Bracken, and Bonnie Shannon as well as four siblings: Diane Udey, Jane Penny, Mary Clark and James Clark.

Services will be held at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Kansas City, KS on March 28, 2024 at 3pm.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Your mom had the most calming and pleasant spirit. I remember her as such a caring person and it appears that that characteristic continued her entire life. She will be dearly missed. My heart is with you all.
