Claude Lee Pitts, 91, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018.
He leaves behind his wife of sixty-six years, Beverly J. Pitts and three sons, Roger, Gary (Terrie) and David (Linda), five granddaughters, five great-grandsons, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Carolyn Catlett, brother-in-law Bryce Turville and sister-in-law Doris Goll, and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Oran Pitts, his mother Evelyn, brother, William and sister Dorothy Schwab.
Life was full for Lee, he enjoyed gardening and sharing his produce with others, fishing, camping, and dancing - especially the polka! Lee served in the Army during World War II and spent a career at TWA, retiring in 1991 after 35 years. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 5th at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia in Lenexa, Kansas. Visitation will be at 1pm, until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Lakeview Village Retirement Community or the charity of your choice.
