Good friends since 1979 Englewood , Louisiana

I met Betty at Belleview Elementary in 1979 and worked there for 6 years. She was the Office Manager and was always so helpful and sweet to me until I left to Cherry Creek High School. We kept in touch and got together with another co-worker, Frankie to eat lunch or dinner every month through the school year until she moved to Baldwin City, KS. She will be missed and I always will think of her as a sister that I never had. Love You Betty!

To me, Betty was Prairie Middle School. She helped hold it together, and she knew how to keep things in balance. Very kind and polite, yet strong and capable. She always made me feel like I was special. And, I am pretty sure everyone felt that way. She pops into my head a bunch, and I am sure she will contiue to do so. My sympathy to family and friends.

Betty Norton was the heart of Prairie Middle School. She was one of the kindest people I have known. She always had time to ask me how I was getting on or what had happened to a staff member who might be going through a rough time. Betty was competent, efficient and generous with her time and her heart. I am lucky to have known and loved Betty Norton.

Teachers at Prairie M.S. Parker , Colorado

We are so sorry to hear the news of Betty's death. No matter the issues... good days and celebrations, or rough days with problems...dear Betty was the constant and compassionate heart of the Prairie family. When we saw her in the office, diligently at her desk, we knew she was our advocate. Her job description may have been office manager/secretary, but she was such a good example to us that we fondly remember her as mentor and friend. Her life truly blessed us!
