Gods grace will carry us through the pain and shock of losing this awesome Christ follower as we have. Earl could not of asked for a better exit had he engineered one ahead of time. He spent time with Sally, Ryan, Amy, his bike, and even a few miles of Kansas before leaving quickly and painlessly for his eternal home. I miss him terribly but I do not sorrow as one who has no hope. Earl walked daily with God, demonstrated the charachter of Christ, and was ready to meet our King face to face on June 21st--of this I am right sure. So, until we see him again and all the stuff he has built in heaven, may we feel Gods grace and strength as oft as the pang of missing him stings our earthly hearts. Grace to all who loved and were touched by this great man.

Sally,
I dont think I have ever told you how much Earl meant to me as a mentor. His love & passion for missions made me want to do more & more to win more to Christ. I always enjoyed the time I got to spend with him at missions meetings & around church. His smile was a great one & his jokes were awful but they still always managed to make me laugh!
Your familys love for our family has also meant so much to us. Sally, your constant emails & prayers have helped us thru some very hard times this last year & a half. I can never repay you for this care & concern yo uhave shown us, my dear friend. I treasure your friendship & love you dearly.
May God bring you, Ryan & Amy peace.
I love you.

He was a remarkable , inspirational guiding force in their church. I thank him for being such an example of Christian love and care to them and all of the church body. I happened to be visiting the church this past Sunday and saw and heard the grief and shock over his passing. I wanted to reach out and tell you that Kari, Kelsey, Sara, and I are praying for you and will be there for your family. Earl was a real testimony to all who knew him, as one who loved the Lord. We will be there for the visitation and funeral service.
Words cannot express the sadness and shock our family experienced when Kari called us on Sunday. Our hope lies in knowing we will be reunited in heaven. I lost my mother when she was 50 and my father when he was 52. I can speak from my own personal experience that God can provide counsel, even though the why will always remain.

Dear Sally and family;
We were so saddened to hear that Earl had passed away. Though we dont know you folks real well, Gina and Jason love you both so dearly and you mean so much to them. Besides we are brothers and sisters in the Lord, so we mourn with you over this great loss. But we know that when Earl stood before the Lord, he heard these words " Well done, thy good and faithful servant". Praise God!! May you find peace and comfort that only one who is sure of their salvation, can have. We love you, and if there is ever anything we can do, please let us know. In the mean time we will continue our prayers and thoughts for all of you.

We met as newlyweds and, although time and distance have kept us from spending as much time with them as we would have liked, we have always loved and admired them both. My husband and Earl have worked together for many, many years. We were so pleased when they relocated to Arizona and we were able to reconnect. How could he not be, he came from a great family, and passed that on to his family. I grew up with Earl, and had lots of fond memories of him, playing outside, riding our bikes, and on ocassions I got to play with some of his toys, when I could convince Paul to get them out.
Again, all my sympathies.
