Rita M. Pruitt, 90, Bonner Springs, KS, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Providence Medical Center. The Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd, Kansas City, KS. Entombment in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church.

Rita was born January 27, 1920, in Kansas City, KS and was a lifetime area resident. She had been a manager of the infants and childrens dept. at Montrgomery Wards for 14 years, retiring in 1978. Rita was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Pruitt in 1989. Rita is survived by two sons and their wives, Philip and Maureen Pruitt, Bonner Springs, KS, Stephen and Carrie Pruitt, Bellville, KS, a sister, Grace Kobe, Overland Park, KS, eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
