Philomena T. Frain, 80, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 29,  at St. Joseph Catholic Church 11311 Johnson Dr.,  Shawnee,  KS 66203.  Friends may call 6:30-8:00 PM Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS where the Rosary will be said at 7:30 PM.

     Mrs. Frain was born February 27, 1930, in Easkey, Co. Sligo,  Ireland.  She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 23 years before retiring in 1995.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Philomena is survived by her husband, Michael J. Frain, 4 children Mary C. Caldwell, Shawnee, KS,   Michael P. Frain, Upland, CA,   Joan M. Cobb, Shawnee, KS,   Stephanie Praiswater, Shawnee, KS,  sister Pat Peretto, Overland Park, KS, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
