Bennie Bruce Hash, 65, of Gardner, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on September 14, 2026. A private graveside service will be held for family, followed by a celebration of life at The Warren Place, 136 E. Warren St. in Gardner, Kansas at 12:00pm on Friday, September 18th 2026. 

Bennie’s family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Association for Cancer Research, Autism Speaks, and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. 

Bennie was born on June 3, 1961 in Bartlesville Oklahoma. He attended Gardner-Edgerton High School. Bennie spent the majority of his career working in the oil fields. Outside of work, he loved being outdoors, landscaping, sitting around a fire, and watching thunderstorms from the garage, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed pheasant hunting with his brother and friends, and had a lifelong love for Trans Ams and, in his younger years, motorcycles.

Bennie will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his storytelling. He had a way of making people laugh and keeping a good story going. Most importantly, Bennie was a Christian and a true believer in Christ. His faith was an important part of who he was.

He is survived by his wife, Megan Palmer; his children, Dalton Hash and his wife, Erika Hash; Abby Hash and her husband, Keaton Shireman; and Tristan Hash and his girlfriend, Violet Hotle; and his grandchildren, Bristol Hash, Shepard Hash, and Saylor Johns. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Hash; his siblings, Chris Hash, Terri Hash, and Martin Hash and his wife, Kay Hash; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Frank Hash.

 Bennie’s family takes comfort in knowing that his faith carried him home and that he is now with his Savior.
