Della Eldora Taylor, 89 of Basehor, Kansas died on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 at Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Della was born June 19, 1936. Della graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1955. Della retired from General Motors, where she worked for 21 years. After her retirement she worked part-time as a Tour Guide at the Harley Davidson plant where she got to meet George Strait and was a security guard for Harrah’s casino. Della enjoyed being around friends and family. Della enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. She loved to play the poker machines, she always said it relaxed her. She touched the lives of so many people and will be deeply missed.
Della was preceded in death by her father (Bill), her mother (Della) and her sister (Violet) Palusky and her husband (George) Taylor Sr. Della is survived by 3 children, George Taylor, Jr. (Mindy), Yankton, SD, Gale Meza Gladen (Michael), Basehor, KS, Michelle Webb (Lance), Tonganoxie, KS. Della is also survived by (7) grandchildren: Mario Meza Jr, (Juana), Kansas City, KS, William Meza, Louisburg, KS, Kristi Harper, Kansas City, MO, Bill Taylor (Melody), LaPorte, MN, Jesse Taylor, Duluth, MN, Joseph (Joey) Ford, (Jen), Olathe, KS and Rhiannon Ford Clark, (Brandon), Shawnee, KS. Della also has 3 step grandchildren: Tobi Huckabee (Steve), Warsaw, MO, Jamie Webb, Farway, KS and Lance Jeffrey Webb, Warsaw, MO. Della also had 24 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Della also has a great, great, great grandchild expected in February of 2026 that she was hoping to meet and her friends of many years Theresa and Bill Folsom, Platte City, MO.
