Duane M. Walton, 55, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at  Advent Health Shawnee Mission. The visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 8 at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS.

Duane was born January 21, 1971, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Jack and Becky Walton. He was a 1989 graduate of Washington High School and received a degree in Mortuary Science at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Duane had worked at the Woodlands Race Track in every job available, leaving there as a Kansas State Racing Judge.  He then started his own tile business and was a co-owner of American Bullnose Midwest. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his children, Cody and Caitlin, the mother of his children, Jill Gromer, his brother and his wife, Darren and Gina Walton and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
