Georgianna Hosmann
1927 – 2025

Georgianna Hosmann’s life was one of grace, resilience, and unwavering kindness. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, she lived a remarkable 98 years filled with love, faith, and service to others. Since 1977, she called her cherished home at Weatherby Lake her haven—built by her beloved husband and filled with decades of family memories.

In her youth, Georgianna was not only crowned prom queen but was also a talented musician, sharing her gift of music by playing both piano and organ for her church at Central Avenue Methodist. She also later became a member at Grandview Baptist. Her gentle nature, kind heart, and ability to see the best in everyone touched all who knew her.

Georgianna shared an especially close bond with her mother, affectionately known as “Mo,” whose influence shaped her compassionate and nurturing spirit.

Professionally, Georgianna dedicated her life to public service, working for the federal government in downtown Kansas City. Her commitment and strong work ethic were evident throughout her long career, which she proudly continued until the age of 84 before retiring.

She is survived by her daughters Jamie Fiatte (Lester Fiatte), Jennie Hosmann, and Julie Dubinsky (Michael Dubinsky); grandchildren Angie Fiatte; and great-grandchildren Joshua Fiatte, Lillian Hinkle, Sydney Fiatte, Cole Toomay, and Trent Toomay. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff Hosmann and granddaughter Lisa Fiatte.

Georgianna will be remembered as the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—a woman who never spoke a mean word, who lifted others up, and who served as an inspiration through her kindness and strength.

The family will hold a private viewing to celebrate Georgianna’s life. Out of respect for her wishes, the service will not be open to the public.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to ACG Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ACG Hospice or your choice of charity in Georgianna’s memory.

May you rest in peace. You were a beacon of life and the true meaning of a mother. I will never forget the decades we shared along with the tapioca pudding you fixed me after school. Thanks for being you! Love, Rod
