Michael and family, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. My mom and dad were good friends of your dad and mom. All of us Fogarty kids held a special place in our hearts for them. My memories of your dad go back as early as 1960 when I was 3; he and my Dad were both stationed at #6’s in Armourdale. We lived across the alley from the back of the fire station, and your Dad would come to the fence to talk to us and give us candy. Jim and Ruth were part of our lives growing up, including when our mom lived in the villas off Parallel before her death. They were my sister Karen’s godparents. My dad has been waiting for Jim in heaven for 20 years now. I’m certain there’s a big party going on. Mom and Ruth are laughing and yakking with each other, and our Dads are having a cold beer. Just like I remember them. May he rest in peace, and eternal light shine upon him. Theresa Fogarty Osredker.
