Jana Lynn Clinesmith was born on April 19,1965, to Gary and Diana Thompson Clinesmith in Wichita, Kansas.
Jana departed this life on April 19, 2026, at her home in Kansas City, KS. Jana was married and had her children at a young age and then resumed her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She was a dedicated, caring caregiver to the sick and elderly at various nursing homes in the area. She was employed by Shawnee Gardens, Shawnee, KS for many years and made many friends among her patients and co-workers.
Jana is survived by her parents, Gary and Diana Clinesmith of Lenexa, KS. She is survived by her three loving children, sons Michael Yeager, Kansas City, MO, and Marcus Edward Yeager (Ryan), Kansas City, MO, her daughter, Kasey Kaylynn Coats, Kansas City, KS. Jana had four beautiful grandchildren, Isaac Michael Yeager, 20 years old, Emma Sophia Yeager, 19 years old, Brixton Vandal Yeager, 9 years old and Maddox Jameson Yeager, 7 years old. Jana is also survived by her younger sister, Tara Jean Sanders (Lane) Overland Park, KS, niece, Ericka Diane McMillen, Kansas City, MO and nephew, Kyle Richard McMillen, Rochester, NY. Jana was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Myrtle and Dwight Thompson, Milan, KS, paternal grandparents, Darline and Albert Clinesmith, Rolla, KS, her uncle, John Thompson, Milan, KS, her aunt, Sherri Brummett, Rolla, KS and her cousin, Robin Brumett, Rolla, KS.
Jana's best friend in the whole world was her fur baby, Lucy, a blue heeler, who will miss Jana forever.
Celebration of life for Jana will be held on Friday, April 24, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm. with the Memorial service from 3:00-3:30 p.m.
