Jeffrey Scott Schulze, 60, of Overland Park, Kansas, unexpectedly passed away on June 11, 2026.
Born on May 19, 1966, in Sidney, Ohio, Jeff was a simple man, steady and true. He was a faithful husband, loving father, devoted brother and son, and a friend to all who knew him.
Golf was a lifelong passion for Jeff. Through dedication and perseverance, he achieved the distinction of becoming a scratch golfer. Whether spending a day on the course, enjoying a good cigar with his feet kicked up wherever he chose, or cheering on his favorite Kansas City sports teams, Jeff appreciated the simple moments that brought people together.
One of Jeff's proudest accomplishments was celebrating 40 years of sobriety, a testament to his strength, perseverance, and character. Throughout his journey, he became a source of encouragement and support to countless others, sponsoring many members of his community and helping them navigate their own paths to recovery. Jeff was an excellent confidant who listened without judgment, offered wisdom when needed, and provided steady support through life's challenges.
In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed a variety of activities, including baseball, horseback riding, skiing, and motocross. He carried that adventurous spirit with him throughout his life and always appreciated time spent outdoors. Later in life, he obtained his self-proclaimed "midlife crisis" Mustang, proudly named "Albatross."
Jeff had a special kindness and softness toward animals, and his compassionate heart extended to everyone around him. If a family member, friend, or neighbor needed help, Jeff was often the first one there.
Jeff's contagious laugh and joyful smile could light up a room. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeff leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, kindness, and service to others that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Schulze.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Tracy Schulze; his daughter, Samantha Schulze; his father, Robert Schulze; his sisters, Laura Gold and Wendy Cenfetelli (Scott); as well as many cherished nieces and nephews, including Dan Gold (Tanya), Cory Gold, Dominic Marconi, Frankie Marconi, and Victoria Marconi.
