Joanna Rollins, aged 88, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born on January 10, 1938 to Joseph and Bernice Klepac in Kansas City, KS. She was also blessed with two wonderful step-parents, Judy Klepac and Joe (Pepe) Berroya.
Joanna met the love of her life, Raymond Rollins, in a roller rink in Texas when she was 17 years old. They quickly fell in love and married 3 months later. That was 1955 and Raymond was in the Navy, so they traveled the years that he was enlisted. They had Kenneth in 1960, Julie 1961, and David in 1966. The family packed up and moved to Huntsville, Alabama where Raymond worked on the Apollo project. They moved to KC in 1970.
Her life was blessed with family and good friends. She is survived by her sister, Simmie (Brent) McMillan, her brothers Val Klepac and Jeff Klepac (Denise). She is also survived by her daughter, Julie (Rick) Cunningham, David (Ann) Rollins, grandchildren Joseph Gipson, Emily Lier, Sarah Becker, Amber Steele, Allyson Bruno, Donald Rollins, Joseph Rollins, Rodrick Rollins, Alex Rollins, and Zachary Rollins. Her great grandchildren are: Brooke Gipson, Brock Gipson, Brody Lier, Tessa Lier, Everett Becker, Andrew Becker, Kennedy Becker, and Maggie Steele. She has a many nieces and nephews also making her family. Her best friend, Paula Michaels, has been by her side since 1970. Her church family was very important to her and was an integral part of her life.
She is joining in heaven her parents and step-parents, her husband Raymond, her son, Kenneth Rollins, and her great grandbaby who passed prior to being born.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Lenexa, KS. Burial will be held at Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
