Aug 28, 1940---May 16, 2025

Mary Frances Fehr, 84, Lenexa, KS, passed away on May 16, 2025 at the Westchester Village of Lenexa. The Visitation will be held at 10 am on Thursday, May 22, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 21650 W. 115th Terrace, Olathe, KS with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The family suggests that donations be sent to St. Paul Catholic Church Building Fund.

Mary was born on August 28, 1940, in Kansas City, KS. She was the only daughter of Joseph Matthew and Mary Elizabeth Carroll. She lost her father at a young age and was raised with her cousins, John, Michael, Joseph, Barney and Marie, and considered them her brothers and sisters. They all attended Bishop Ward High School together. After high school she went to work for AT&T in San Francisco, CA where she met her future husband, Charlie, while out with a group of friends after work. They married in Kansas City, KS on August 12, 1967. After marriage, they moved back to Kansas City. Charlie traveled frequently for work, allowing Mary the privilege of staying home to raise her two sons. Mary’s door was always open to friends and family when she wasn’t at a soccer, baseball, basketball, football, cross country or track meet. She loved having a home close to the front of the neighborhood so anyone could stop in as they passed by. Mary enjoyed many activities throughout her life. In her early years she enjoyed tennis, golf and bowling. As she got older, she loved a good book, playing cards, late nights gaming with Charlie and/or the boys, and  spending time with her grandchildren. She continued to enjoy hosting others in her final days. She will be missed greatly but also joyfully reunited with Charlie. She never wavered in her love and commitment to him.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charlie. She is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Charles J. and Stacey Fehr, Scott and Amanda Fehr, her grandchildren, Emma, Henry, and Hudson Fehr, and too many amazing cousins, family and friends to count.
