Shirley Jeanne Parrott, 93, of Lenexa Kansas passed away August 9, 2026.  Shirley was born in Glasgow (Howard County) Missouri on July 27, 1933, to Francis Lee Conran and Dorothy E. (Hackley) Conran.  She graduated from Bishop Lillis High School at the age of 15.  She married Grant Hudson Parrott in May 1961, and they lived in Wichita Kansas, Carrollton Texas and moved to Lenexa Kansas when they retired in 1990.  She worked many years in the accounting field.  Shirley had a deep faith and loved being a member of the Daughters of Isabella.  She enjoyed holidays with her family, especially Christmas, Fourth of July picnics, and annual Labor Day family reunions. She was an avid dog lover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant, of 48 years, her siblings, John L. Conran, Joyce M. Morgan and Judith D. Suttner, nieces Becky Dowell and Anne Morgan, and many cousins.  She is survived by her stepchildren, Terrance Parrott, Robert Parrott and Cynthia Wiederstein and their families, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13th at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee Kansas.  Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14th at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St., Overland Park, Kansas with private inurnment in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas, at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
