Apr 21, 1938---Aug 13, 2025

Stephen Aloysius Imm passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, surrounded by many loved ones after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Steve was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 21, 1938 to Edward Richard Imm and Thelma Louise “Thelma Lou” (Mauntel) Imm.  Steve and his identical twin Edward were the first of seven children born to Edward and Thelma Lou.

Steve served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958  before attending the University of Dayton and Xavier University.  He received his MBA from Xavier and had a successful career in the paper industry.

In 1961 he married Judy Wimmers and they started their family shortly after.  Steve and Judy had four children, one son and three daughters.  Steve worked hard his entire life in order to provide a good life for his family.  He moved his family to various states over the years, but always made sure to return home to Cincinnati often so his children would know their grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Steve became a grandfather in 1990 when the first of his seven grandchildren was born. He loved taking his grandchildren to Mass on Saturday mornings and then to a nearby McDonalds to meet up with his friends. He was so proud of all of his grandchildren, and was fortunate to become a great-grandfather to a beautiful baby girl, Stevie Jo,  just before Christmas of last year.

In 2001 Steve married Lois McKinney and was blessed with getting to know her children and grandchildren.  Steve and Lois spent the next 24 years enjoying traveling, attending Mass together, singing in various Good Shepherd Choirs, supporting vocations in the Archdiocese, and spending time with their large blended family. He remained devoted to God and his family throughout his life, and will be fondly remembered forever by his family and many friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Ed Imm and his younger brother Albert Imm.  He is survived by his dear wife Lois, his sisters Mary LaBelle (Pierre), Janet Cox (Gene “Tiny” Cox), Elaine Gatto (Robert, deceased), his brother Danny Imm, his  four much beloved  children, Stephen Imm (Kathryn), Michelle Tyler (Michael “Toby”), Maria Imm (Tom), and Lisa Lambert (Jeff), 18 nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

On Friday August 22, 2025 a Rosary for Steve will be prayed at 9:30 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W. 75th Street in Shawnee, KS with a visitation to follow.  After the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, followed by burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of  flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Community Hospice in Overland Park or to the Good Shepherd School Guardian Angel Fund.

Classmate & Friend ,Cincinnati ,Ohio

Steve &Ed(twins) were my classmates in elementary and high school. I was jealous of them since they were 5" taller and always out play me in basketball. Much later in life my brother Orville's daughter married Ed's son and the Wright & Imm family once again shared many fun times together. Steve &Lois would always come back for holidays and H.S. reunions. Our classmates would always look forward to seeing the twins together like the good old days. There was seldom a holiday when both families got together that Steve Jr.& Katie weren't there to tell us how Dad Steve was doing. What a great family he & twin Ed raised. The world is a better place because 4 generations of the Imms' passed this way. REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE dear friend Steve,we will miss you and keep You & Lois in out thoughts forever. Jack Wright from 1947 memories.

Steve was my father's good friend and next door neighbor at Santa Marta. My father has expressed on several occasions how much he will miss Steve. I really enjoyed the opportunities I had to visit and often have meals with Steve while visiting my father. Steve was lucky to have so much support and love from his family as you spent time with him very regularly which I am sure meant a lot to him. My thoughts are with all of you.

He was a nice man and a good friend to my dad. Rest in Peace Steve. My dad will see you soon and you guys can be alter boys together again!
