Aug 23, 1995---Jan 19, 2024

Sydney Lannette Esary was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 28.  She was born to Jim and Jolene Esary on August 23, 1995 in Waukesha, WI.

Sydney and her family lived in several states, before settling in Tabor, IA at the age of ten.  She was a graduate of Fremont-Mills High School in Tabor, IA and enjoyed 4-H, school plays, dance team, cheerleading and competing in softball and volleyball.  Upon graduation, she attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Merchandising and Design.  At the time of her death, Sydney was employed at the Helzberg Diamonds Headquarters and Corporate office in North Kansas City, MO.

Sydney enjoyed spending time with family, trying new restaurants and sharing her vast fashion knowledge.  We will never be the same without her quick wit and sense of humor.

Sydney is survived by her parents, Jim and Jolene Esary, sisters, Tayler (Keith) Dixon, Morgan Esary, Dr. Kaitlin Esary, niece Hadley Dixon, nephews Holden Dixon and Hutchinson Dixon. Grandmother Carolyn Brandt and many other relatives and friends.  Preceded in death by Grandparents Vernon and Anna Mae Esary and Eber Brandt. Syd left an indelible impact on all of her family and will be forever missed.

A celebration of life service will be held on February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes International Support Center, 8701 Leeds Road, Kansas City, MO 64129.

My daughter was acquainted with Sydney during their high school days. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a daughter but hopefully your faith will help. I know I am speaking for your golf buddies in Shenandoah in saying you are in our prayers. Bob Longman

Dear Jim: So very sorry for your loss. Hoping great memories of your daughter will help you all get through the time ahead. The old cliche of " it doesn't get better but perhaps a bit easier with time" might help. Old Jim in Arizona.

Sidney rode with us to Galveston, TX with a niece so we could cruise. She was such a great girl. We enjoyed having her. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Sydney's fourth grade teacher. ,Sidney ,Iowa

Dear Essary Family, I am so very sorry to hear about Sydney! She was such a joy to have in class. I still remember at the end of her 3rd grade year she was riding her bike around the track (I think it was a fundraiser for something). Katie Aistrope was there and they were being sassy back and forth. Katie introduced her to me and told her I would be her teacher. Seems like yesterday. My heart really hurts for you guys! Sending you love and prayers for peace. Brenda J. Pierce Almquist

She was such an amazing soul, always had a smile on her face and always made anyone feel welcome even me as a foster kid as most people would be weird because of that, she always Treated everyone with the same kindness, such a smart and Beautiful woman with a heart that was gold and it is unfortunate that heaven has called an angel home and I send my condolences And I know that she wouldn’t want us to be sad, but it’s hard to see such a wonderful person leave us And sending hugs and prayers for the family going through this hard time.
