Sep 25, 1952---Aug 24, 2016

Keith Hatch, 63, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Wednesday, August 24th at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Visitation 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday August 27th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, Ks. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the Coffman Bend Fire Association.

Keith was born September 25, 1952, the son of Don and Delores Hatch, in Kansas City, KS. He leaves behind his two brothers, Craig Hatch and wife Pat; Phil Hatch; and two sisters, Donna Lane and Rita Hatch. He is preceded in death by his parents. He worked the last 22 years as an electrician for IBEW Local 124 for Capital Electric. He also worked many years for the Sante Fe Railroad and Black & Veach.

Keith never met a stranger. He was very outgoing, loving and caring to everyone he met. He was probably most known for his sense of humor and his silly jokes. He loved to spend time boating and fishing at his lake home in the Ozarks. He loved to work with his hands and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He was a wonderful husband of 41 years to his wife Kathaleen. He was also a super brother, fun uncle-who loved all his nieces and nephews and a friend to many. He leaves behind countless family members and friends who will greatly miss him.

Keith's great smile, and laugh will forever be missed by all of us. Keith was a great neighbor, and always there to help. We know how much Keith loved the lake, and so sorry he didn't get to enjoy it more.

Kathleen, my heart goes out to you. Keith was an amazing, absolutely amazing man! I'm so glad we've stayed in contact, but so sad to hear of his passing! I'll never forget the first time I met him, it was in the boat, and he said, \"Steve, that's not the same girl you brought down last weekend.\" I just laughed, because that's the exact same thing my gpa would say when I brought a boyfriend to their house to meet the fam! I love you guys and will be thinking about you! God speed Keith, you will be greatly miss! Love you!

Friend/former neighbor ,Kansas City ,Kansas

Steve Alvey and I along with our daughter, Josie, lived next door to Keith and Kathy for 8 years on Locust Lane. He was a kind man, caring, loving towards his family and always had a smile one his face and a story to tell. He was particularly sweet to our little girl, taking time to talk with her and always with a quarter or two to give her which always tickled her. He will be terribly missed- a good man.

Kathy, I received a text Friday evening of Keith's passing. Sadness filled my heart for your loss. As I think back about Keith, I have such fond memories of his genuine kindness and love for everyone. He was such a great people person, always making an effort to say Hello, and ask about my family. I know that God has big plans for him, even though he will be missed terribly. The love and memories you and your family have will be everlasting, and will help to carry you through life until you are reunited one day.\r\nDavid and I send our love and prayers to you and your family.

I will always be so grateful to have you as my big brother. You were always looking out for when I was a little girl. It was simply your nature to look out for others. Thank you for sharing your love of Mustangs with me. This still seems so surreal, Keith. The evening you passed away, it rained like crazy. I believe it was because the angels were crying. I'll love you always, Keithy. Ring once when you get home...
