MSGT James Howard McNew United States Air Force Retired, 80 of Kansas City Missouri, passed away on November 27, 2018 in Warrensburg, Missouri at the Missouri Veterans Home.

James was born in Rye Cove Virginia to James Robert McNew and Iona Irene Rhoton McNew on November 28 1937. He grew up in Kingsport, Tennessee. He married Rosalind Tester in 1963 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. After retirement he opened his own heating and air conditioning business and later Graduated from Avila collage. James is preceded in death by his parents James Robert McNew and Iona Irene Rhoton McNew, Brother Wallace McNew and Sister Delois Connell.  James is survived by his wife Rosalind Tester McNew and his daughter Meghan (Doug) Siscoe grandson Thomas Siscoe, Sisters Shirley (Doug) Nichols of Kingsport Tenn., Thelma (Dick) Shupe of Forest Virginia.  Brothers Wayne McNew of Kingsport Tenn., Eugene (Dinah) McNew of Kingsport Tenn.
