Betty was born October 21, 1937 in Kansas City, KS. She was a talented, creative artistwhose work was selected for the cover of the SW Bell Telephone Book in the 1970s. She showed her oil and watercolor paintings in local art shows and the Plaza Art Fair. She taught art classes out of the home and received her bachelor's degree in art education at Saint Mary University. As registrar at Bonner Springs High School and substitute teacher in several school districts, she was respected and loved by teachers and students alike. She especially enjoyed raising tomatoes and flowers and caring for her much-loved cats Maxine, Butch, Wrack, and Ruin. Betty was a Baptist, steadfast and unwavering in her faith, a godly woman who lived out her love for our Savior in word and deed. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Frost and Albina Frost King; her brother, Robert Lee Frost; the love of her life, John Ernest Pino; and her grandson, Daniel Jacob Henry. Betty is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Frost Peterson (Ray) and Tressa Frost Richardson (Charles); her four children and their spouses:  Frank and Elizabeth Pino; Connie and Steven Henry; Joyce Fuentes; Russ and Lee Pino, Ft. Myers, FL; her grandchildren Devin and Mallory Pino, John and Brandy Pino, Amy and David Dearth, Mattie and Keenan Clements, Michael Fuentes, and Collin Henry; and her great-grandchildren Logan, Charlotte, Annabelle, Vivienne, Aidyn, Gavyn, and Raevyn. Betty treasured her family. Her humor, her zest for life, and her legacy will live on forever through her beloved family.

We are so grateful to God for blessing our lives with the beautiful gift of you. We miss you, Momma, more than words can say. ''Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her. Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31: 28-29.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

I knew it was going to happen soon, but upon hearing that you passed, it still took my breath away. I will miss your sweet face and sharp tongue (this you passed down to every single Pino possible). Your children especially are in my prayers as they always are. I pray for peace that they know where you are. To my father in law, Frank, Aunt Connie, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Russ, I'm sorry for the loss of your Mom, your first love, your first enemy even, your mentor, your go to when you needed the truth or some sass. Nothing on earth can separate you...not time, not space....not even death. My the love in your heart, the memories you share and the wit in your genes, carry you through these difficult times. Love you all.

Sending condolence to the Pino and Frost Family. Betty and I went to Grade school and High School together. After we both were married we would have Taco suppers on Friday. There were about 4 family that were very close for many years. Such beautiful memories. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

So many ways, truly. Teacher to several family members, admirer of so much about Betty's life, appriciator of her work at BSHS, and so much more! ,Bonner Springs ,Kansas

To Betty's loving family--For so many years, I recognized Betty's wonderful spirit! When she worked in the school district, Betty was kind and giving in so many ways, with the smile always active! She cared so much for her family, and that showed in the creativity of her children as students. Yes, she may have passed from the earth to above, but Betty will always be here. Blessings and condolences to all of you.... Love, Chris

My memories of Betty Jean, start from very early grade school. We would all ask Betty to draw us paper dolls, I think even in the first grade. She was always a happy caring classmate. I am so happy that I have on of her paintings hanging in my home. I know she was loved and now truly missed by many.

I purchased several of Betty’s watercolors at an art show in the 70’s and framed and hung them in our vacation home on Table Rock Lake. They have always been favorites of mine. She was so very talented and desired more recognition than she received. Prayers going up for all her family.
