Mary (Reising) Draves, 94, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019.  Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 29, at St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church, 615 N. 7th Kansas City, KS 66101.  Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church and/or Shawnee Mission Medical Center (Advent Healthcare).

     Mary was born August 31, 1924, in Kansas City, KS and was a lifetime resident.  She was a Registered Nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital and then retired from the Wyandotte County Health Department.  Mary was very involved with her family and her church, including the PTA, Campfire Leader, Altar Society and many other activities.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, parents Frank and Minnie Reising and two brothers Herman and George. She is survived by her sister Helen Grinzinger, three children: Michele Wineland (Tom), Overland Park, KS, Francie Schmidt (Dan), Overland Park, KS, Jim Draves (Paula), Lake Placid, FL, five grandchildren: Stephen Schmidt (Lauren), Michael Schmidt (Will), Jennifer McDonald (Sean), Katie Wineland (Trent), Thomas Wineland, five great grandchildren Collin, Gavin, Brynn, Connor, Ryan and many extended family and friends.

George and I send our deepest sympathies on the passing of a wonderful woman, Aunt Mary Draves. She was truly one of a kind and was deeply loved by me and my California/Oregon extended families. I will forever cherish our visits, vacations and trips where laughter and fun filled the room. Her sage advice, creative talents, intelligence, love of family and belief in moderation are rules I will always remember. My sincere condolences go to her children (my cousins) Michele, Francie, and Jim, their spouses, and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Love you...
