John Joseph Wortman, 51, passed away on August 7, 2019. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Mon. Aug. 12, at Porter Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at All Saints Catholic Church, Kansas City, KS. Burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

John was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. In 2002, he met Becky and they were married September 25, 2004. John enjoyed movies, traveling to Branson, playing poker with his brothers and watching local sports. He mostly enjoyed watching KU basketball. 

John was preceded in death by his mother Vonda; sisters Carla Wortman, Cristina Wortman, Shannon Wortman and nephew Joshua Wortman. 

John is survived by his wife, Becky Wortman; father, Robert J. Wortman Sr.; sisters, Teresa Wortman, Mary Wortman and Andrea Wortman; brothers, Ron (Faye) Wortman and Charlie Wortman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by all family and friends.
