Charles Eugene Clinkenbeard Jr., 96, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM with Funeral Services at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 23, 2020 at Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66112. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.   Memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Church.

 Charles was born March 4, 1924, in Kansas City, KS to Charles and Lura Clinkenbeard. Charles enlisted in the USMC during WWII. His tour took him to Espiritos Santos, New Hebrides Islands and then on to Guam where they retook the Island of Guam from Japan. On October 25, 1946, he married Myrtle Uchtman. Charles pastored many Baptist churches in Kansas and also in Fond du Lac, WI. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Myrtle (Uchtman) Clinkenbeard; brothers Harold, David and Benny Clinkenbeard and sister Lura Marie Parrish. He is survived by his daughter, Shari (Ron) Leibly and son, Mark (Tammy) Clinkenbeard; brothers, Phillip, James and Sam Clinkenbeard; sister, Shirley Paul; grandchildren Maggie(Shane) Snyder, Kelli Ottery, Alesha Clinkenbeard and Katie Clinkenbeard; great-grandchildren, Owen, Gavin and Chase; numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
