Doris Van Hee Thayer Peckron peacefully died on Friday, December 4, 2020.  A private Catholic Committal Service will be held gravesite at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, December 14 at 11:00 AM.  A Resurrection Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
 
Doris was born December 11, 1945 to Charles J Van Hee and Bernice Lust Van Hee. Doris was Director of Health Information Management at BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, MO for 23 years.  She received her masters in Medical Records while teaching medical records at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. Doris retired in 2012 and moved to Kansas City to be closer to family.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Peckron.  Doris is survived by her only son, Travis (Megan) Thayer, Atlanta, GA; three Grandchildren, Liam, Grace and Maggie; and her three sisters Darlene (Bob) Zukel, Mary Lee (Steve) Dillbeck and Christine (David) Ferguson.
 
The family sincerely wishes to thank St. Luke’s Hospice House for the excellent care given to Doris.

Our prayers and sympathy to Travis and family. Dori was such a blessing to know and I was so happy we were next door neighbors in Willowbrook. She was such a sweet person and I loved our visits. I was just told today,December 15 of Doris' death. I have tried numerous times to call her,but it just rang and rang. I have been thinking of her this year so much,because the last time that I saw her she needed so much assistance. pleasa let me know of the mass.
