Delores was a sweet person who loved her family and friends. To me, she was my sister by another mother. We spent many summers between a farm community in Turney, MO where I lived and in Lawrence—sort of a city mouse -country mouse sort of arrangement. We shared many adventures—all so wholesome and fun. My husband and I enjoyed dinner together with Leonard and Delores occasionally until one or the other of their health prevented it. Delores fought the good fight against her health issues with great courage. Leonard, Andy and Amy were wonderful and at her side as much as they could be. She is at peace now and chose to do it her way.

Andrew, I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s brutal to lose a parent. I send all my thoughts and prays to you and your family. Sincerely, Brad

I met Delores Harris Stonestreet at Lawrence High School and we were close friends, but lost track of each other after our graduation in 1959. Our class had reunions every 5 years and during those times we would try to catch up with each other. I will always consider her a good friend. My deepest sympathy to the family.
