Oct 12, 1934---Mar 25, 2023

Kittie Vose Debus, October 12,1934-March 25, 2023 has passed away and is in a much better place.

She was born on October 12, 1934 to Allan and Doris Moore of Kansas City Kansas where she lived her entire lifetime, as a true “DOTTE”.

She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1952 and worked at the American Red Cross along with her last 28 years of her career at BPU as an executive secretary.

Kittie enjoyed hanging out with all of her family and also spent a lot of hours at the ballpark where both of her sons played baseball. She was quite entertaining in the stands with her zeal for energy and excitement.

She leaves behind 2 sons(Greg and Keith),5 grandchildren(Geoff,Jenna,Jordan,Miranda and Whitney) along with 6 great grandkids(Kipton, Eastyn,Blakely,Greyson,Sophie and Decklan).

Her family will truly miss her and we will always have a special place in our heart for her.

Mom, please know that you are loved and missed already—may peace be with you!

 Love Your Family!

Friends for Life! That was the motto for our Fab Five lunch bunch that for years met at our favorite restaurants for lunch…the ones that didn’t kick us out for staying hours after eating to “catch up” on what had been happening in our families’ lives. We relived those “ remember when we….” Stories over and over, laughing but sometimes crying as our group started to get smaller. I will cherish those memories now that I’m the last living member. Thanks kids for sharing your very special Mom with so many of us . She shared a lifetime of funny stories with Gary and I that we will keep in our hearts??

Kittie was my father-in-law’s, Ralph Tearney, secretary/executive Assistant till he retired at BPU. I always ran in to her at the grocery store and many other places. It was always fun to catch up with her. RIP pretty lady…

Kittie was a member of the Wyandotte Class of '52. Throughout life she had an energy and presence that filled a room...funny, fun, one that radiated friendliness and most often an upbeat persona...classmates and friends embraced those qualities in Kittie. She was unique and will be missed. She was much loved. Condolences to her family. Wyandotte Class of '52 Anne Pliley Debus

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Kittie. From being rivals on the baseball field, (her son Greg and my brother Mike), to being teammates at the BPU, fond memories of both. My prayers and condolences Greg, Keith, and your families. My mom passed in January, they are both in a better place now. And I kinda think she would describe that place with a word I heard many times at 3&2. And that word would be “Beautiful “!!!!! RIP Kittie!!
