Nathalie A Sherwood Haren, 91 of Prairie Village, KS passed away March 30, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS where a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in Kansas.

 Nathalie was born July 4, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Arnold Adrain and Marianne Nathalie (Geisel) Sherwood. 

Nathalie attended Bishop Hogan High School and the University of Kansas where she pledged Gamma Phi Beta. While at KU, Nathalie met her future husband, Tod Haren, a Sigma Chi. After KU, Nathalie and Tod were married in 1956 and started their married life at Lake Quivira. Nathalie was an extremely active community leader and served the American Cancer Society in Kansas, earning the National Division Award in 1985. She was equally involved with Junior League, Symphony League, Lyric Opera, American Royal as well as the Saddle & Sirloin Club, Nathalie had served as a member of the Leawood Art Council, Gamma Phi Alum Chapter and was awarded the National Jefferson Award for Outstanding Services benefiting the Greater Kansas City Community. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tod Haren, daughters, Beth Haren Lynch and Nan Haren Hughes, a brother Stephen Sherwood and sister Jeanne Galamba.

Nathalie is survived by her son, Wells Haren and his wife Renee of Stilwell, KS, sister Mimi Sherwood of Leawood, KS, sister-in-law Mary Lynn Sherwood, dear friend Gary Kilkenny of Prairie Village and three grandchildren, Charles Harrison Haren II, Margaret Renee Host and Jarrett Wells Lynch and four great grandchildren, Charles Woods Haren, Bear Caleb Host, Betty Jane Host and Waylon Wells Host.
