Jun 16, 1947---Jun 27, 2025

Bill was born on June 16, 1947 and passed away on June 27, 2025. He married Rosy in 1967, the day after his birthday so that he would never forget their anniversary. Bill was a very proud Navy veteran, serving eight years as a data systems technician, including a tour in Vietnam. After his Navy career he worked as a computer support technician for the submarine training centers in Hawaii and San Diego. He continued his computer career with Boeing in St. Louis and Abbott Laboratories in Chicago. Bill and Rosy retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2002. The Lake was a special place for him and held many happy childhood memories of visiting his grandmother, aunts and uncles. In 2012, they moved to Kansas City to be closer to their daughter and grandsons.

Bill loved his family (especially his grandsons), fishing, golf and all of the family dogs (whether he would admit it or not!). He was a kind and goofy man who never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by Rosy, his wife of 58 years; daughter, Laura Jennemann; son, Bill Jennemann; grandsons, Max and Grant Getzlow; brothers Tim and Tom Jennemann; sisters, Judy Budrovich, Peggy Veal and Mary Blase, and his many sisters and brothers’ in-laws; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the amazing people at the Kansas City VA, Advent Health and Olathe Hospice House for their excellent care and compassion for Bill. The ambulance and fire rescue employees, food service representatives, social workers, nurse aides, nurses and doctors were all amazing and we cannot thank you enough.

Bill will be buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis with a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting our veterans.

We went thru the teen years together as best friends and stayed a carwashing business in Fenton, MO. That was moderately successful. I was best man at his wedding and we had a bond that was invisible but unbreakabke. I will miss you sir and I will drunk a diet coke un your honor at your service. The Army Navy game will never be the same. Rest In Peace my friend and remember and half barrels in the ice house must be sampled regularly to insure freshness.
