I lived in Olathe in the early 2000’s. I meet Sue at Curves. We all became friends at curves, and we started a book club. Your Mom was a hoot. We had so much fun at our book club. I don’t think we ever read a book, just good food, plenty of wine, and a lot of laughter. Your Mom was a wonderful person. I will never forget the great times we had together. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

When your mom joined Curves we became instant friends. We had our Christmas girls shopping weekends. Our “Book” club which was an excuse to get together with friends and eat delicious food and drink wine and a lot of laughs. I think we only read one book. And of course the many dinners we had together. When I moved to Arkansas we didn’t see each other very often but we always checked in. Sue was a sweet , kind , and a good friend. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss her.

I knew Susan a few decades ago but I have never forgotten her. She was a unique lady with charm, humor and a caring spirit. I did her hair until her daughter Amy became a hairstylist. It was common knowledge that her husband's family adored her and felt blessed to have a wonderful sister-in-law and Aunt. She was hit hard when she lost Terry but she carried on as best she could. I loved the way she socialized and her creative spirit. She will definitely not be forgotten by me and many others

Mrs. Amy & Sarah, We are so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. Every two weeks when we came by, Señora Susan (as we used to call her) was always waiting for us right at 8:00 a.m. with her sweet smile and a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. She was always so kind and appreciative, and she’d send us off with chocolate candy at the end. We’ll definitely miss her warmth and attentiveness — she was truly special. Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
