Jul 21, 1949---Nov 10, 2025

Thomas “Tom” K. White, 76, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Linda; their children Angela Bellmyer (Joe), Shane White (Candice), and Kimberly Theisman (John); his grandchildren Taylor, Brett, Ashlyn, Lauryn, Dylan, Lindsey, Connor, Brittany, Melody, Jack and Blake. He is also survived by his brother, Steve White, and sister, Marcia Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mabel (Payne) White; sister, Janet Sill; brothers, Glenn White, Jr., and Gary White; and step-grandson, Parker Koerner.

Tom was born on July 21, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and then became a lifelong resident of Johnson County, Kansas. He courageously served in the Vietnam War as a Communications Specialist. Following his service, he worked maintenance at the Shawnee Mission School District for 10 years. After a chance meeting with Father, he then moved on to Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he spent 37 years as Maintenance/Facilities Manager, while concurrently working evenings at Bee Maintenance for 12 years. In 2015, he was thrilled to retire.

Tom was a hard worker who loved spending time with his family and exploring new hobbies. He would play his guitar, bowl, golf, woodwork and do anything else that would pique his interest. He also enjoyed staying active, lifting weights, and walking. According to his FitBit, he walked to Japan and back.

The visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 17, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 12800 W. 75th St., Shawnee, Kansas. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the ALS Association

Our heartfelt condolences. His passing brings an emptiness in the day to day activities and is very hard to replace. The greatest comfort and gift is he is walking with Jesus. Our prayers are with each of you. We love y’all. Linda and Eddie

Linda and Family, I had the privelege of working with Tom at Good Shepherd for 13 years. Tom was always seen, but not heard. A quiet man, but hard working and meticulous. He was polite and we always knew he would give us a smile in the hallway and a "Hey, Girl!" Following his retirement I enjoyed running into him at the grocery store where he always shared his mileage! He was such a great man and will be missed. May God's love comfort you all during this time. Rest in peace, Tom.
