GG was immensely proud of her family and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, who brought her unmatched joy.
Carol dedicated many years to the City of Lenexa Parks and Recreation Department, where she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her warmth, humor, and straightforward honesty. During college she was a proud Alpha Delta Pi member and was voted president of her UMKC chapter, a role that highlighted her instinct to show up for people and make them feel included.
Family and friends will forever remember her love for gatherings—especially during the holidays, when she filled the room with laughter, good food, and her famous deviled eggs. She had a gift for saying exactly what everyone else was thinking, and her candid spirit, paired with her big heart, made her unforgettable.
Carol cherished her time with friends, whether at work, during weekly phone calls with her closest friends, at bunko nights, volunteering at the school carnival, sharing meals at her monthly “gourmet” dinner club, or simply enjoying everyday moments. Her relationships with her sister Susie and her brother Jack were among the most cherished in her life.
Carol’s legacy is one of unconditional love, honesty, and the joy she brought to those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to The Kelly Lynn Lutz Memorial Foundation are appreciated, reflecting Carol’s enduring love for her daughter, Allison. https://www.kllscholarshipfund.org/
