My condolences and prayers go out to Jim’s family in their time of loss. Very sad news. As with a lot of other friends I had lost touch with over the years the years. I have many memories of Jim. At the age of 17 we worked together at the brand new Safeway store @ 81st & Parallel in KCK. We both attended Washington High School and Jim was always the envy of the guy’s in our age group because of his love for cars and motorcycles. I have fond memories of his classic Gold Honda 750/four motorcycle and his Brilliant Blue Ford Torino which he meticulously took care of for years. Jim was a guy’s guy. This is sad news hearing his name and seeing his old picture after all this time. God’s Speed old Friend Gods Speed.

Condolences and prayers for Kathy and all family and friends who knew and loved Jim. I only rode with him a few times at the ranch and we would often talked about doing more rides. He was a good mechanic and loved to ride motorcycles. He also had a gift of conversation and could share lots of stories and opinions about a variety of topics. I know I will miss him and likely if you are reading this you will to. Let’s cherish the memories of a such a great guy.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. My condolences to the entire family. Jim and I were more school friends than social. We had different friends outside of school. Jim was one of those guys you didn’t forget though and I still remember his fun loving attitude. Including the time in junior high when someone he knew or was (related to) rode their motorcycle down the long hallway at Arrowhead Middle School. We sat at the same table and he was so pumped. Kept watching the clock until this loud roar came flying past our classroom. Very daring at that time. Miss you buddy. God Bless

Jim was one of the good guys. I bought my first motorcycle from Jim, a blue 1971 Honda 350 Enduro. I worked with him back in the late 70's & 80's at Goldblatt Tool Company. We both graduated from Washington High School. He had a wealth of knowledge of the area, the people and especially motorcycles. Jim will be missed!

My thoughts go out to Kathy and family. I met Jim about 50 years ago when he was working for Goldblatt and I was working for Marco paper. He rode bikes and so did I. We both had street rods so the rest is history. (They are now called classics.) We would go to Chadwick and ride dirt bikes. We also rode at the Chicken ranch. Jim was a motor head and we could talk engines, cams, duration, and lift. We were soundboards for each other that we could bounce ideas off one another. Jim would make mods and he would call the Jimco’s. What a great name for some part he would machine up and modify. Probably not much he couldn’t make, or machine a part for. I have been in Georgia for 30+ years. We would talk on a regular basis. When I was in town, we would work on projects or go ride bikes. He would call Andy and the three of us would go find places to ride. I will sure miss him.
