The beautiful life of James R. Torres came to completion on January 16,2026, at the home where he and his wife, Marisela Torres raised their six children: James R. Torres Jr., Daniel Torres, Criselda Hull, Lorie Whittacre, Tressa Viramontes, and Shonda Torres; surrounded by the love and devotion of the family they created together. 

 

Mr Torres was born on January 15,1951, in McAllen, Texas, to his mother, Estefania Canales, and his father, Gilberto Torres. After serving in the United States Army as a paratrooper, he went on to build a distinguished career as a regional manager for Pitney Bowes, where he dedicated over 30 years of service and earned multiple awards for his leadership and contributions. 

 

His life serves as a reminder that to be a hero is not to be perfect, but to be consistent in what matters most-the love and protection of family. 

 

He leaves behind an exceptional standard for all who knew and loved him. 

 

Though our hearts grieve his absence, we take comfort in knowing that James now walks in the light of God’s love, free from pain and reunited with peace beyond understanding. His memory lives on in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
