Apr 25, 1944---Feb 20, 2026

Alexis Leah Brockett, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 81. Alexis was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched with her warm and generous heart.

Born on April 25, 1944, in Independence, Missouri, Alexis was the daughter of Robert Petrovic and the oldest of three sisters. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1962 and lived in Independence until 1981, when she and her husband, Burt, moved to Blue Springs. They later relocated to Kansas in 2020 to be closer to family.

Prior to retirement, Alexis worked in medical office management and earned the designation of Certified Medical Manager. She had a deep appreciation for the arts and music, loved traveling, and enjoyed watching Kansas City sports with Burt. Her laughter was infectious, and she treasured the many friendships she formed throughout her life. Above all, her greatest joy came from her love of family, her faith, and the people she held dear.

Alexis is survived by her daughter and son in law, Darla and Mike Cassin; as well as a stepdaughter, Michelle (Jerry) Hoover; four grandchildren - Cole, Courtney, Heather, and Jessica; five greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 51 years, Burt Brockett; her father, Robert Petrovic; and her sisters, Alana Admire and Anita Fletcher.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Liturgy following at 11:00 a.m. on March 9th, 2026, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W 143rd Street, Olathe, Kansas 66062. Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.

Wife of cousin Robert Weber ,Orland Park ,Illinois

I’ve been communicating with Alexis since meeting her yrs ago. She is the cousin of my husband, Robert Weber. I’ve been aware she was unwell as we last communicated with each other last December. We were dealing with a family loss ourselves at that time. She “will be missed.” We had a lot of things in common to talk about and I’ll will miss her many posts she put on FB. I know how very much she missed her husband Burt, it was very sad! She has gone thru a lot of medical problems but…. I will always remember her best in her younger days happy and thriving! she is now in God’s hands!!! My prayers for her daughter, Darla and family!
