Madilyn “Madi” Anne Lash was born on September 30, 2025, at 2:50pm in Liberty, MO. She passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at 4 months and 20 days old.
Madi was born on a beautiful autumn day that changed her family’s lives forever. She loved bath time, smiling, playing with her crinkle toys, and watching her fish and her bunny mobile. She loved animals and petting them. She loved music and would stop crying to hear any song. Her favorites were Fleetwood Mac, John Denver, and The Beatles. She loved everything she was shown or held, with a pure curiosity that only an innocent child could have.
She was amazed by Christmas and even saw the Plaza Christmas lighting. She rode on a bike carriage with lights and was so happy. She was always very interested in TV and got to watch a few things that she was so entranced with: Sesame Street, Charlie Brown, and Winnie the Pooh.
She loved story time and grabbing the pages. She talked as she was read to. She saw many Chiefs games with the Lashes and loved her football outfits. She went to the park for the first time and went down the slide and swung on the swing, smiling the whole time, as always.
Madilyn had the sweetest smile, the most golden glow that lit up every room she had been in. She had just learned to laugh, too. Peekaboo was funny, and so was being tossed in the air. It didn’t take much to make her smile.
She did so much and was loved more than anything, but it never feels like enough. Now her family must live for her and take her on new adventures in their hearts and their dreams. She is in heaven now, shining the brightest with her beautiful eternal smile. She will never know pain or suffering, just peace and comfort forever with God.
