Raymond Willis Brandon, 73, of Overbrook, Kansas, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Raymond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran. He shared 51 loving years of marriage with his wife, Rhonda Brandon, building a life centered on family, dedication, and quiet strength.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Brandon; his four children (Joann Woods, Mandi Manczuk, Joshua Brandon, Daniel Brandon); his six cherished grandchildren (Kate Woods McCabe, Hunter Scott, Raven Scott, Kody Scott, Kaleb Gumminger, Jade Brandon); and his great-grandchildren. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took great pride in each of them.
Raymond honorably served his country in the United States Navy, completing six years of active duty and two years in the Navy Reserves. During his service, he was deployed during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a career as a computer operator for the federal government, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.
Outside of his professional life, Raymond had a deep love for his pets and found great joy and companionship in caring for them.
A graveside service will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery on March 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., where he will be laid to rest with honors.
Raymond will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the steady presence he provided to all who knew and loved him.
