We used to see John and Darcie almost every Saturday at First Watch for Breakfast. John was a master carpenter and just as handy as anyone could be. Quiet and unassuming. He'd do anything for anybody out of the goodness of his heart. He was always out everyday for his morning walk. I'd always wave and stop to catch up on what was new. We will miss him.

John was such a wonderful neighbor! We have always loved our chats and running into him around the neighborhood! I thank him so much for all of his help around my house when I needed an extra helping hand and he jumped in without a second thought. He will be very missed.

There are very few people who make the world a better place, just by being in it. Without a doubt, John was one of those people. I'm sure there was nothing he wouldn't do to help a friend or neighbor in need. He was always good at dropping by to say hello on days when a smile was just what we needed most. On days we didn't see him, we knew he was around, bringing smiles to those fortunate enough to be in his presence. He is going to be missed by so many.

This was quite a shock, and unbelievably sad. We ran into John on walks many times, and he would even stop in his car to talk while we were walking. We often saw John and Darcy walking the neighborhood, and we will miss seeing them together. John was a very kind man, and always willing to help anyone that he came into contact with. Our prayers go out to Darcy and the entire family, along with all who had the pleasure of knowing John. He will be missed greatly
