Joseph (Joe) John Mehlstaub 89, of Lenexa, Kansas. Passed away in his home on July 30, 2026.  Born on October 24, 1936.  Retired from Western Electric after many years of service. He enjoyed playing softball and was an accomplished bowler in earlier days.  Spent many hours boating, fishing and camping at the lake.  He loved supporting our local sports teams,  Royals and Chiefs. 
He leaves behind his loving wife and caregiver, Joan.  His son Steve (Holly), daughter Daphne(Marty), Step-daughter Tammy. Grandchildren, Max, Louis, Bailey, Taylor, Dakota, Taylor(deceased) Austin and Hunter.  Great Grandchildren Cooper and Everly. And his Buddy and side-kick “ Cuddles”.
His positive loving attitude will be greatly missed by all.
