Kevin Brian Finch of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on August 10, 2026 at age 67. Kevin was born December 2, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas to Gordon Keith Finch and Betty Lou (Sehnert) Finch. He graduated from Washington High School in 1976. 

Kevin worked for many years at Pack America before retiring and supplemented his income by buying and selling on eBay. 

Kevin had a deep passion for music. He loved playing guitar and could often be found running sound for bands his friends played in. He built his own recording studio in the basement of his house — a space that reflected his lifelong devotion to the craft.

He had a longstanding love of his motorcycles and dirt bikes. That passion has been passed down to his children and grandchildren, and he spent a lot of family time at the tracks.

He loved his family deeply. He also had a love for animals, one in particular, his Rottweiler Buddy.  

Kevin is predeceased by his parents and leaves behind his two children, Dustin Finch (Cristina Browne) and David Finch; five grandchildren, Jordan Finch, Jaylynn Finch, Brayden Finch, Bronx Finch, and David Atticus Finch. He also leaves his siblings, Ron Finch (Molly) and Kim Sego, and his niece, Jennifer Sego (Travis Hargadine), as well as a multitude of friends fortunate to know him.

A Celebration of Life for Kevin will be on Friday, September 11th at 1:00 pm at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, KS.
