Virginia Mae Davis, born December 22, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully October 6, 2026, at the age of 97.
Virginia, lovingly known as Ginny, always had a deep love for faith, family, and creativity. She married the love of her life, Robert Steven “Bob” Davis, on September 11, 1948, and together they built a beautiful life centered around their family.
Ginny was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, where her faith was a central part of her life. She was also an excellent artist who enjoyed exploring a variety of painting techniques, including oil, chalk, acrylic, and others. Her creativity was a reflection of the beauty and curiosity she carried throughout her life.
She loved to read and took great pleasure in staying current with technology, especially because it allowed her to remain connected with the people she loved. Ginny treasured her family and was always one of their biggest encouragers. Her love, support, and unwavering belief in those around her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Ginny is survived by her children: daughter Terri Watson and husband Larry of Crandall, Texas; son Steve Davis and wife Kim of Denver, Colorado; son Keith Davis and wife Joni of Overland Park, Kansas; daughter Carol Watchous and husband Stan of Gardner, Kansas; and son-in-law Rick Clark of Overland Park, Kansas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who brought her great joy and pride.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Davis, in 2019, and daughter, Pam Clark, in 2017.
A celebration of Ginny’s life will be held on November 14, 2026, at the Overland Park Church of the Nazarene, 9030 Lamar, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries or Samaritan’s Purse in her memory.
Ginny leaves behind a legacy of faith, creativity, encouragement, and, above all, love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
